DAY 1 : Arrival in Marrakesh
Upon arrival at the international airport of Marrakesh, a private car will pick you up and
take you to your hotel in the city centre. You will then go on an excursion to Ourika
Valley and Imlil village where you will go mule trekking and will enjoy a traditional
lunch. In the evening you can head to Jemaa el-Fna for dinner to come into contact with
local life in this bustling square.
DAY 2 : Marrakesh City Tour
After breakfast at your hotel in the morning, embark on a guided city tour around the
delights of Marrakesh. Begin marvelling at the ornate Moroccan architecture of Bahia
Palace, before moving on to the Tombs of Saadian and the lively alleys of the Medina.
Continue at the Koutoubia mosque and finally end the tour wandering through the
exuberant Jardin Majorelle.
DAY 3 : Tizi n'Tichka Mountain Pass and Kasbah Visits
In the morning, you will take a scenic 5-hour drive to Boulmane Dades, passing through
the famous Tizi n Tichka mountain path that is known for its fertile burgundy valleys
and spectacular views. After, visit the Ancient Kasbah of Ait Benhaddou, a UNESCO
a World Heritage Site made up of impressive Moroccan clay architecture. Finish the day
learning about the 17th-century Kasbah Amridil on a guided tour.
DAY 4 : Dades Gorges and Merzouga Desert
Today you will slowly make your way to the Merzouga desert, making several stops
along the way. First, stop to explore the limestone river canyons of Todras Gorges and
the towering rocks of Dades Gorges. Continue to reach the Sahara, passing through the
cities of Rissani and Erfoud.
In the evening, you will go on a desert safari in the Merzouga desert, watching the sun go by.

DAY 5 : Desert Adventure
Start your day today experiencing a magical sunrise in the Merzouga desert as you
watch the first rays of light hit the golden coloured sand dunes. After breakfast, you will
embark on a 4x4 desert adventure exploring the Erg Chebbi sand dunes, the Mfis
ancient mines and a visit to some local Gnawa villages. After a traditional lunch in
Madfouna, you will visit an oasis, do some fossil hunting and learn about nomadic life
here.
DAY 6 : Travel from Merzouga to Fes
After breakfast at your hotel, you will leave the desert and drive to Fes. Along the way,
you will pass through the Middle Atlas mountain range and make various stops
along the way. Midelt is a popular stop on this route, where you will get some
impressive views of the High Atlas mountains. Continue passing through Azrou, where
you will meet some nomads and Ifrane, known for its alpine-style architecture.
Spend the night in Fes.
DAY 7 : Fes City Tour
Today you will spend the day exploring the wonderful history and architecture of Fes on
a full-day guided tour of the city. Go on a traditional pottery-making experience in the
morning, and after lunch, you will take a stroll in the vibrant old medina of Fes. Here
you'll visit some important landmarks such as the University of Al-Qarawiyyin or the
Choara Tannery, where you will find hundreds of stone vessels filled with dye, which
produce leather products exported all over the world.
DAY 8 : Meknes, Volubilis and Journey to Chefchaouen
Continue your 12 days in Morocco this morning going on a guided tour of the imperial
city of Meknes, which includes a unique caleche ride. Here you'll see detailed 17th-century courtyards, fountains and architecture. After, head to Volubilis, located just
outside of Meknes. A prosperous city once under Roman rule, today it is a UNESCO
world heritage site full of incredible ruins, fine mosaics and restored buildings. After the
tours, you will make the 3-hour journey to Chefchaouen.
DAY 9 : Chefchaouen, Rabat and Casablanca
Spend two hours this morning exploring the blue city of Chefchaouen before heading
out on the road and driving to Rabat. Arrive in Rabat in time for lunch, and after you will
go on a tour of some of the key monuments here, such as the Kasbah of the Oudayas or
the ancient burial site of Chellah. After the visits, a driver will transfer you to
Casablanca, where you will spend the night.
DAY 10 : El Jadida, Safi and Essaouira
Today you will make the journey from Casablanca to Essaouira. On the way, you will
stop at El Jadida, a fortified colony on the Atlantic coast that is also a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Heritage Site. You will then go on to visit Safi, known for its brightly coloured pottery
and artisan workshops. Finally, reach Essaouira, a laid-back coastal town with inviting
beaches where you will spend the night.
DAY 11 : Essaouira and Travel to Marrakesh
Spend the morning exploring Essaouira, a charming beach town that features a beautiful
harbour, a vibrant local market and picture-postcard beaches. Formerly a Portuguese
trading port, Essaouira is perfect for admiring the quaint architecture found here and an
array of delicious Moroccan food. After lunch, you will take a three-hour journey to
Marrakesh.
DAY 12 : Departure from Marrakesh
Depending on your travel arrangements, you may have some time in the morning to do
some last-minute souvenir shopping or exploring around the city of Marrakesh. When it
is time, a private driver will collect you at your hotel and transfer you to the airport for
your departing flight home after a wonderful 12 days in Morocco.
